Gyeonggi Province will host the 'Korea Innovation Startup Summit' aimed at fostering future unicorns.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 4th that it will co-host the 'Korea Innovators Community Summit' with the World Economic Forum (WEF) on the 7th.
This event, to be held at the Global Biz Center in the 2nd Pangyo Techno Valley, marks the first official gathering of Korea's leading innovative startups jointly selected by the World Economic Forum and Gyeonggi Province. Korean companies that are part of the World Economic Forum Innovators Community, along with domestic unicorn companies, will participate.
Participants will seek ways to achieve mutual growth and become global unicorns through open networking. Key leaders representing the domestic startup ecosystem and global venture capital firms will also take part in the event.
During the morning forum, unicorn companies such as Yanolja and Lunit will join as panelists to discuss global expansion strategies from the founders' perspectives.
Following this, leading Korean AI companies such as Upstage and DeepX will participate to explore challenges and opportunities under the theme "How Can Korea Become an AI Sovereign Nation?"
Notably, the event will feature companies belonging to 'Korea Frontiers,' an exclusive innovator community for Korean startups selected by the Gyeonggi 4th Industrial Revolution Center in collaboration with the World Economic Forum.
Thirty companies, including InfLab Co., Ltd., have been selected. These companies will have the opportunity to directly participate in the World Economic Forum's Innovators Communities for two years.
Additionally, they will gain access to various community activities organized by the Gyeonggi 4th Industrial Revolution Center, connections and exchanges with the global network of 4th Industrial Revolution Centers, and access to cutting-edge technology and industry information. For global activities linked to the World Economic Forum, a select number of companies will be chosen to participate, primarily focusing on the United States and China.
