Gijang County conducted a practical joint response drill between the public and private sectors, simulating a 'boiler room vapor explosion and fire at Jeonggwan Children's Library caused by an earthquake.'
More than 100 officials from 11 related organizations and groups, including Gijang County, Gijang Fire Station, and Gijang Police Station, participated in the exercise. Each organization carried out processes such as ▲resident evacuation ▲rescue operations ▲infrastructure restoration ▲recovery of affected areas in real time, according to each stage of the disaster. The drill was conducted by linking discussion-based training with on-site drills.
By utilizing PS-LTE disaster safety communication network devices, on-site information was shared quickly to enhance response efficiency. In addition, about 100 local residents, including the Autonomous Disaster Prevention Corps, Volunteer Fire Brigade, and Volunteer Center, participated directly to strengthen disaster response capabilities.
