At the event, an academic paper analyzing the correlation between organizational culture innovation and management performance was presented.
In particular, the “3E Framework”-empathy, empowerment, and enablement-which former CEO Kim has consistently emphasized, was presented as a representative model of innovative management in a paper published in an international social science journal (SSCI).
The 3E Framework is an organizational culture innovation strategy that maximizes individual capabilities and delegates decision-making authority to the field, based on mutual understanding and trust among members.
Since taking office as CEO of iM Life in 2020, former CEO Kim has prioritized sustainable growth and people-centered entrepreneurship over short-term results. He led the creation of a sound sales culture based on responsibility and promoted a culture of mutual respect.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, when the variable insurance market stagnated due to sluggish stock markets, iM Life achieved the industry’s highest three-year return and net asset growth rate for variable insurance funds.
The company also ranked first in the life insurance industry for contract retention rates at the 13th and 25th payment periods, and achieved the industry’s lowest contract cancellation rate.
Former CEO Kim stated, “I made employee-centered empathic management my top priority, and seeing the rise in corporate value convinced me that people-centered entrepreneurship is the foundation for corporate growth. We plan to expand industry-academia collaborative research on organizational culture innovation.”
