Gyeongbuk TP Joins Efforts to Ease Severe Farm Labor Shortage... Hard Work During Cheongdo Persimmon Harvest Season
Fulfilling Social Responsibility as a Regional Hub Institution
Gyeongbuk Technopark (President Ha Inseong, Gyeongbuk TP) announced on the 21st that, in celebration of the persimmon harvest season, it recently visited persimmon farms in Cheongdo County, North Gyeongsang Province, to carry out volunteer work, demonstrating meaningful efforts to promote mutual growth with the local community.
This volunteer activity was organized on the 17th to provide practical support for the shortage of agricultural labor in the Cheongdo area and to help alleviate the labor shortage that intensifies during the busy farming season.
On this day, about 40 executives and employees of Gyeongbuk TP participated in the volunteer work, visiting farms early in the morning and actively joining farmers in harvesting persimmons and trimming persimmon stems.
One employee who participated in the volunteer work shared, "It was a refreshing experience to work up a sweat after a long time, and I felt rewarded and happy to be able to provide direct help to local farms at a time when it is most needed."
Local residents expressed their gratitude, saying, "Gyeongbuk Technopark visited us at a time when we are most in need of extra hands during the peak harvest season, and it was a great help."
Ha Inseong, President of Gyeongbuk TP, said, "I would like to thank all executives and employees who actively participated in this volunteer activity to support agricultural labor," and added, "We will continue to pursue various social contribution activities to promote the development and mutual prosperity of the local community."
