View original imageJeonnam Province is drawing attention by conducting various promotional activities to showcase the excellence of its agricultural and marine products to participating athletes and spectators at the LPGA BMW Ladies Championship, which is being held at Pine Beach in Haenam, Jeonnam, until October 19.
During the tournament, Jeonnam Province offered a selection of its signature foods-such as Naju pears and pear juice, Damyang traditional sweets, Goheung citron juice, Shinan seaweed, and steamed abalone and roasted sweet potatoes made with Haenam abalone and sweet potatoes-to participating athletes and their families at the athletes-only restaurant, which received significant interest.
By operating the "Jeonnam Export Agricultural and Marine Products Promotion Booth," the province hosted tasting events for promising export items, including Damyang Anbokja traditional sweets, Shinan Cheonsa Seaweed's "K-Jeonnam Seaweed," Goheung Eden Foods' citron juice, and Naju Pear Agricultural Cooperative's pears and pear juice, actively promoting Jeonnam agricultural and marine products to visitors.
At the sales corner, Yeongam fig products and Jeonnam rice rice balls from Jangseong Hyundai Food System proved to be very popular among gallery visitors. Jeonnam Province also presented its signature specialty product, "K-Jeonnam Seaweed," to LPGA participants.
One visitor to the promotion booth commented, "I hope the Korean athletes participating in the LPGA will achieve great results by eating healthy and delicious Jeonnam agricultural and marine products," adding, "I was once again reminded that Jeonnam agricultural and marine products represent K-Food."
