Goryeong County Wins Two Grand Artist Awards at North Gyeongsang Architecture Awards... Ssanglim and Seongsan Township Offices Recognized for Architectural Excellence
Goryeong County in North Gyeongsang Province (Governor Lee Namcheol) won two Grand Artist Awards at the 2025 North Gyeongsang Province Architecture Awards for the Ssanglim Mutual Growth Exchange Center (Ssanglim Township Office) and the Seongsan Harmony Center (Seongsan Township Office).
On October 16, North Gyeongsang Province held the opening ceremony of the 2025 North Gyeongsang Province Architecture Awards at the Imdang Relics Exhibition Hall in Gyeongsan, recognizing outstanding architectural works and spatial design cases within the province.
The award-winning Ssanglim Mutual Growth Exchange Center features an open structure centered around a spacious first floor, facilitating natural interaction among residents. The building employs a lightweight exterior that reflects the surrounding landscape, and its design minimizes the boundary between the courtyard and the interior, which was highly praised.
The other award-winning project, the Seongsan Harmony Center, was lauded by the judges for its rational layout that ensures both a sense of openness-through a viewing terrace and outdoor rest area-and a strong presence and symbolism facing the main road.
The Ssanglim Mutual Growth Exchange Center was completed in March this year, while the Seongsan Harmony Center is currently finalizing its construction permit process and is scheduled to begin construction in November.
