Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency Produces First Industrial Safety Consultant... Expertise in Safety Management Expected to Strengthen
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency has produced its first certified industrial safety consultant. The agency expects this achievement to significantly strengthen its expertise in safety management moving forward.
The agency announced on the 13th that Min Huikyung, Head of the Pangyo Techno Valley Team, successfully passed the 15th Industrial Safety Consultant (Mechanical Safety) qualification exam, which is certified by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, last month.
This is the first time anyone at the agency has obtained the industrial safety consultant qualification. The exam is held once a year, and it is known for its low pass rate, making it particularly challenging to obtain the certification.
Min began preparing for the qualification after the Serious Accidents Punishment Act was implemented in 2022, in response to heightened industrial safety management requirements. After four attempts, she finally succeeded on her third try, achieving this milestone.

The agency is going beyond legal compliance by raising the facility safety standards for companies located in Pangyo Techno Valley and strengthening the safety management systems for public buildings in both Gwanggyo and Pangyo Techno Valleys.
