People Power Party Inspects APEC Summit Site: "A Golden Opportunity to Safeguard National Interests"
Jang Donghyuk, leader of the People Power Party, commented on the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit to be held in Gyeongju at the end of this month, stating, "This will be a golden opportunity to safeguard our national interests amid turbulent international circumstances, such as negotiations on tariffs with the United States and the North Korean nuclear crisis."
At the APEC Summit site inspection meeting held on the 4th at Yukbuchon, Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation, Leader Jang emphasized, "This summit is not just another international meeting," and made the above remarks.
He added, "This summit will serve as an important opportunity to further elevate the national prestige of the Republic of Korea and to secure new growth engines for our country. The People Power Party will mobilize all its capabilities for the success of the APEC Summit, focusing solely on the national interest and the people."

Kim Seokki, chairman of the National Assembly Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee and a member of the People Power Party, said, "It is understood that President Donald Trump of the United States and President Xi Jinping of China will definitely hold a U.S.-China summit here," adding, "We will showcase everything Korea has to offer during this opportunity."
