Promoting Safety Awareness Among Foreign Workers and Spreading a Culture of Safety
The Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (headed by Jung Jongdeuk) conducted a safety culture promotion campaign on the 28th in order to raise safety awareness among foreign workers and spread a culture of safety throughout the local community. This campaign was held in conjunction with a local foreigner festival organized by the Busan Foreign Workers Support Center.

View original imageThe local foreigner festival, titled "2025 Foreign Workers Fun Sports Day," took place on the 28th at Noksan Hope Park Stadium (Noksan Industrial Complex, Gangseo District).
This campaign was part of the "Safe Workplace Project" jointly promoted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. In collaboration with local governments and organizations affiliated with the Safety Culture Practice Promotion Group, a variety of activities focused on preventing industrial accidents were carried out, including guidance on the five major types of serious industrial accidents and the 12 key safety rules, as well as hands-on experiences with industrial safety VR.

Jung Jongdeuk, head of the Busan Regional Headquarters, stated, "Industrial safety is a value that must be respected and protected regardless of age, gender, nationality, or race." He added, "I hope this campaign will raise safety awareness among not only foreign workers but also local citizens, and further serve as a foundation for creating safer workplaces."
