On September 29, the city of Gumi in North Gyeongsang Province launched the "New Look for the Republic of Korea" campaign around Sagok Station, taking the lead in improving the urban environment ahead of the Chuseok holiday and the APEC Summit in October.
This initiative is part of the national participation movement "New Look for the Republic of Korea" promoted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

In addition, the city encouraged voluntary citizen participation by running the "Clean in Front of My House" daily practice campaign in parallel.
All city departments and towns are also continuing their own cleaning activities, expanding environmental improvements to every corner of alleyways and residential areas.
