Gwangmyeong City Begins Formulating Next Year’s Project Plans
Major Work Briefings Held by 52 Departments and Affiliated Organizations

Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province has begun formulating its major project plans for next year, which marks the final year of the 8th popularly elected administration.
On September 29, Gwangmyeong City will begin its '2026 Major Work Plan Briefing' in the city hall's main conference room. The briefing sessions, which will be attended by 52 city departments and 4 affiliated and funded organizations, will be held three times until October 1 and 10.
The city explained that the briefings are focused on spreading the achievements of the past three years in the fourth year of the 8th administration, successfully fulfilling campaign pledges, and exploring new citizen-oriented projects to address local issues and alleviate everyday inconveniences.
The city is also focusing on identifying policies that can be promoted in connection with the national agenda of the Government for the Sovereign People. The strategy is to enhance the feasibility of these policies by linking them to central government public projects, thereby improving citizens' quality of life and ensuring efficient budget management.

Park Seungwon, Mayor of Gwangmyeong, stated, "Based on the achievements of the past three years, it is now time to complete policies so that citizens can feel real changes in their daily lives. We will thoroughly prepare next year's projects so that the results are tangible for citizens and the policies are connected to the future."
