Guam 2-dong in Hoewon-gu Discards Corruption Through "Integrity Plogging"
All Staff Participate in Integrity and Environmental Cleanup Campaign
On September 18, Guam 2-dong in Masan Hoewon-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam Province, held an "Integrity Plogging Campaign" with the participation of about 10 staff members.
This event was organized to promote a culture of integrity in daily life and to build public trust in administration by creating clean streets.
The campaign consisted of two parts. First, staff members wrote phrases such as "corruption," "misconduct," and "collusion" on balloons and burst them in a "Break the Corruption Performance." This act symbolized breaking away from wrongdoing, marking the start of practicing integrity and reinforcing the participants' commitment.
Next, during the "Integrity Plogging Campaign," staff members carried garbage bags labeled with anti-corruption slogans and collected litter throughout the district. This activity went beyond simple environmental cleanup, conveying the symbolic message of "throwing away corruption like trash" and promoting clean streets and transparent administration. Especially as it was held ahead of the Chuseok holiday, the campaign achieved the dual effect of encouraging both integrity and environmental improvement.
