Gyeonggi-do to Support Online Sales Channels for 100 Local SMEs
Gyeonggi-do has partnered with Gmarket and Auction to support 100 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the province in developing online sales channels. This initiative is part of the "Large and Small Business Win-Win Cooperation Program Support Project," which aims to foster joint growth between large corporate online platforms and SMEs.
Previously, in July, Gyeonggi-do selected the e-commerce platform linkage (Gmarket and Auction) sales channel support project through a public contest for the Large and Small Business Win-Win Cooperation Program Support Project.
The main support includes product promotion and sales assistance through dedicated sections and special events on Gmarket and Auction.
Until November, Gyeonggi-do will provide up to 1,000 discount coupons per day to consumers through Gmarket and Auction, offering up to 15% off on food products and up to 10% off on non-food items and grains. The project also supports various marketing activities, such as exposure on main pages and joint promotions.
In connection with this, on September 5, Gyeonggi-do and the Gyeonggi-do Economic and Science Promotion Agency held an information session for the "E-Commerce Platform Gmarket Linkage Sales Channel Support Project" at the Next Generation Convergence Technology Institute, where they shared the project's purpose and support plans with the selected companies.
Gyeonggi-do plans to hold an MD consultation meeting in November to provide customized one-on-one consulting for companies and will select two outstanding companies to participate in the Gmarket Super Deal and Auction All Kill special events. The province also aims to create a sustainable win-win ecosystem where companies, consumers, and platforms can grow together by producing promotional content and linking with social contribution activities.
