Police Arrest Suspect in Gwanak-gu 'Pizza Shop Murder' as Condition Improves
"Detention Warrant to Be Requested"
A man in his 40s who fatally stabbed three people in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, was arrested by police after his condition improved following treatment in an intensive care unit immediately after the incident.
The Seoul Gwanak Police Station announced that it executed an arrest warrant for Mr. A (41), who is suspected of murder, on the morning of September 10.
Mr. A, who operated a franchise pizza restaurant in Jowon-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, is accused of fatally stabbing Mr. B (49), an employee from the franchise headquarters, as well as Mr. C (60) and Mr. D (32), who were working on the restaurant's interior, on September 3. Immediately after committing the crime, Mr. A injured himself and was taken to the intensive care unit of a nearby hospital for treatment. It has been reported that Mr. A has admitted to the crime.
It is known that Mr. A had ongoing conflicts with the victims over issues related to the restaurant's interior.

A police official stated, "We plan to thoroughly investigate the suspect regarding the circumstances of the crime and will apply for a detention warrant afterward."
