[Click e-Stock] Remed Expected to Expand Sales Through Entry Into Aesthetic Medical Device Market and New Businesses
Independent research firm Aris analyzed on August 5 that Remed is expected to expand its sales through entry into the aesthetic medical device market. The company did not provide an investment opinion or target price.
Remed is a developer and manufacturer of medical devices utilizing magnetic field-based non-invasive stimulation technology. This year, the company made a full-scale entry into the skincare business with the launch of the CLEO brand. It released CLEO V1 and CLEO 21, which are based on high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) and radiofrequency (RF) technologies.
Lee Jaemo, a researcher at Aris, stated, "Approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety is expected in the second half of the year for Lepton, a skin regeneration product that uses shockwave technology," emphasizing, "The market for skin regeneration using shockwaves is still in its early stages."
He further explained, "Traditional HIFU and RF-based lifting procedures utilize thermal energy," and highlighted, "Skin regeneration using shockwaves has the advantage of causing almost no pain compared to lifting procedures, so anesthesia is not required, and there is no risk of side effects such as burns or facial volume loss caused by thermal reactions."

Aris projected that Remed's sales this year will reach 27 billion won and operating profit will reach 3.6 billion won. He emphasized, "Sales growth is expected from a reduction in losses at major affiliates as well as from new businesses," and added, "Although costs are expected to increase due to initial marketing for the launch of new aesthetic devices, from a mid- to long-term perspective, these expenditures will be returned as sales expansion."
