View original imageKBS Artvision and World Esports Holdings signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) on June 19 at the Artvision conference room for education and the exchange of Hallyu cultural content in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
The agreement centers on the joint operation of a beauty academy and Korean language education programs by both organizations, utilizing a 2,000-pyeong space managed by World Esports Holdings at Nara Shopping Center in Siem Reap. Through these initiatives, the two institutions aim to strengthen the capabilities of Cambodian youth and enhance their understanding of and interest in Hallyu culture.
Under the agreement, World Esports Holdings will be responsible for operating local facilities, recruiting students, promoting the programs, and implementing the curriculum. KBS Artvision will provide services including the development of educational content, instructor consulting, issuance of completion certificates, and planning of broadcasting-related experiential programs.
Kim Jonguk, CEO of KBS Artvision, emphasized, "Through this agreement, we aim to go beyond simply transferring technology or providing education. We seek to establish a model of cultural diplomacy where people around the world can communicate through Hallyu content, and local youth can grow into globally competent talents."
Choi Nakgyun, Chairman of World Esports Holdings, stated, "This agreement is not just an educational project, but a meaningful opportunity for Cambodian youth to directly experience K-Beauty and K-Culture. We expect it will make a significant contribution to improving the local educational environment and fostering talents with global competitiveness."
