Anseong to Host "Traditional Market Festival" at Anseong Matchum Land on June 7
The city of Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, and the Anseong Traditional Market Association will hold the "2025 Traditional Market Festival" on June 7 at the lawn square of Anseong Matchum Land to revitalize traditional markets and expand sales channels for merchants.
This event, held in conjunction with the Korea-China-Japan Food Culture Festival as part of the "East Asia Cultural City" project, will feature a variety of programs for citizens and tourists to enjoy together.
The event will include various booths operated by pre-selected merchants from Anseong's traditional markets, such as food sales booths, experience booths, and promotional booths for culture and tourism-oriented markets. In particular, a "Traditional Market Specialty Food Contest" will also take place. In the contest, 12 participants, selected through a first-round screening and expert consulting, will present creative traditional market dishes using local agricultural products.
