Korea Development Bank Announces Investment Program for Semiconductor Ecosystem Fund
Asset Managers to Be Selected by End of June
Fund Formation Expected to Be Completed Within This Year
Korea Development Bank (KDB) and Korea Growth Investment Corporation announced on May 13, 2025, the launch of the 2025 investment program for the 'Semiconductor Ecosystem Fund.' This investment program includes not only the existing Semiconductor Ecosystem Fund, which has been established with a total of 300 billion won by this year, but also an additional initiative in which the government and KDB will jointly raise a further 800 billion won by 2027, in line with the government's recently announced policy to strengthen support for the semiconductor sector.
This year, both the existing program (comprising blind funds and project funds) and the new initiative will be carried out simultaneously. A total of two asset management companies will be selected as managers for the blind funds. Proposals for the blind funds will be accepted until May 30, and the managers will be selected by the end of June.
