Experience at Suncheonman National Garden
with 26 Participants Including Volunteers
KORAIL Gwangju Headquarters announced on May 7 that it had invited residents of Gwangju Aeyukwon to participate in the Happy Train program, which took them on a trip to Suncheonman National Garden.
A total of 26 people from Gwangju Aeyukwon, including volunteers, participated in this Happy Train event. The program included traveling from Gwangju Songjeong Station to Suncheon Station on a Mugunghwa train, followed by an experience at Suncheonman National Garden.
Happy Train is one of KORAIL's flagship social contribution programs, providing railway travel experiences for socially disadvantaged groups, including those with limited mobility.
Lee Jeongho, Gwangju Station Manager, said, "We prepared this event so that the children could experience a new world and have a happy time through a train trip, which they do not often have the chance to enjoy." He added, "We will continue to engage in various social contribution activities together with the local community in the future."
