Han Donghoon, former leader of the People Power Party who was eliminated in the final presidential primary, said on May 3, "I accept the decision" and added, "I will support from behind."

View original imageImmediately after the final results were announced at the 5th People Power Party convention held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang on May 3, Han said, "Today, I accept the decision made by the party members and the people."
He continued, "Although my journey ends here today, I ask our candidate Kim Moonsoo to prevent South Korea from becoming a dangerous country."
Han added, "I will also support from behind," and continued, "Whether it is a sunny day, a rainy day, or a snowy day, I will always stand with the people and party members."
At the convention, Kim Moonsoo, former Minister of Employment and Labor, was elected as the People Power Party's final presidential candidate after winning with a total vote share of 56.53%, defeating Han Donghoon, who received 43.47%.
In the party member vote, Kim received 61.25% (246,519 votes), leading Han, who received 38.75% (155,961 votes), by more than 20 percentage points.

In the public opinion poll, Kim also led with 51.81%, ahead of Han, who received 48.19%.
