Lee is concentrating on visiting local communities under the banner of "unity and listening" in the border regions, which are considered challenging areas for the Democratic Party due to their strong conservative leanings. On May 3, he will continue his listening tour in the "East Coast Belt," including Sokcho and Yangyang in Gangwon Province, and on May 4, he will visit the "Danyang Palgyeong Belt," including Yeongju and Yecheon in North Gyeongsang Province, as well as Danyang and Yeongwol in North Chungcheong Province.
Spokesperson Park Kyungmee stated, "In line with his long-held belief that 'special sacrifices deserve special rewards,' Lee is making the border regions his first stop to listen to the voices of the people," adding, "He will announce policies aimed at alleviating the daily hardships of border area residents and revitalizing the local economy."
