Cheonan Office of Education Signs Agreement with Cheonan Studies Institute to Promote Local History Education
Cooperation on Local History Curriculum and More
The Cheonan Office of Education in Chungnam announced on the 17th that it has signed an agreement with the Cheonan Studies Institute to promote local history education.
This agreement was established to jointly advance education and research on the history and culture of Cheonan, and to expand experience-based learning utilizing community resources.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on ▲mutual support of resources necessary for Cheonan history and culture education ▲cooperation in community exploration and experiential activities ▲joint development of history and local studies curricula for elementary and middle schools ▲and other joint projects for the advancement of regional and local history education.
Lee Byungdo, Superintendent of Education, said, "Through this agreement, we expect to play a significant role in fostering students' affection for their local community, cultivating a correct sense of history, and providing proper character education for students in Cheonan."
