South Korea Acting President Sends Encouragement Money and Handwritten Letter to Gwangju's '1000 Won Restaurant'
Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, Acting President, delivered an encouragement fund and a handwritten letter to a restaurant in Gwangju Metropolitan City that offers meals for 1,000 won on the 15th.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, Acting President Han sent a personal encouragement fund through staff to 'Haetteuneun Sikdang,' located in Daein Market, Dong-gu, Gwangju, on that day.
Acting President Han, who visited the industrial site in Gwangju that day, had originally planned to visit Haetteuneun Sikdang but could not visit in person due to other schedules.
In the letter, he wrote, "I heard that the 1,000 won meal restaurant started by your mother has been operated by your daughter for 15 years," and added, "I really wanted to meet you once, but since my schedule did not allow it, I am sending my thanks from afar."

He continued, "I also heard that other shop owners in the market help a lot," and added, "I hope both Daein Market and Haetteuneun Sikdang prosper."
