Volvo 'EX30' Rises to No.1 European Brand Electric Vehicle
478 Units Sold Last Month
A 239-Fold Increase Compared to the Previous Month
Volvo Cars Korea announced on the 8th that its electric SUV 'EX30' ranked first among European brand electric vehicles last month.
According to the Korea Imported Automobile Association, 478 units of the EX30 were sold last month, marking a staggering 239-fold increase compared to the previous month. Following were Volkswagen's 'ID.4' (407 units), Audi's 'Q4 45 e-tron' (362 units), Polestar's 'Polestar4' (307 units), and BMW's 'iX3' (138 units).
Volvo Cars Korea recorded sales of 1,424 units in March, an approximately 36% increase compared to the same period last month, ranking third behind Mercedes-Benz and BMW.
Since its global market launch last year, the EX30 has established itself as a new global best-selling model by achieving the number one sales record for premium brand electric vehicles in the European market.
In Korea, it was launched at a starting price more than 20 million KRW cheaper than in Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom, offering price competitiveness with a maximum purchase price in the low 40 million KRW range when subsidies are applied. Since its domestic launch in February, it has attracted attention with over 16,000 test drive applications and the initial batch of 500 units selling out completely.
