Texas-style menu will be featured at this year’s Masters Champions Dinner.
Scottie Scheffler is cheering as he lifts the trophy after achieving back-to-back wins at last year's Masters.
View original imageScotty Scheffler (USA), last year’s Masters champion, revealed the menu for the Champions Dinner held at the Augusta National Golf Club clubhouse in Augusta, Georgia, two days before the Masters tournament begins on the 19th (local time). The Champions Dinner is an annual event where past Masters champions gather for dinner. The menu is uniquely determined by the previous year’s winner.
Scheffler chose a menu that reflects the characteristics of the region where he grew up. Although born in New Jersey, he moved to Dallas, Texas at the age of six and became a Texan. He completed college in Texas and still lives in Dallas. It is notable that the menu is not much different from the one Scheffler selected for his first Champions Dinner in 2023.
The appetizers include the ‘Scotty Style’ cheeseburger and shrimp dish, which were on the menu at the Champions Dinner the year after Scheffler first won the Masters. The added appetizers, ‘meatballs and ravioli,’ are foods he has enjoyed since childhood. The main course, like in 2023, consists of Texas-style sirloin steak and grilled salmon.
