Dongducheon City Opens Applications for 'Gyeonggi-do Youth Living Scholarship'

1.5 million KRW for 64 high school students
Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 18th that it is accepting applications for living scholarships for youth at risk of dropping out of school due to economic difficulties.
The living scholarship is funded by the Lottery Fund under the Lottery Fund Act and targets middle and high school students as well as out-of-school youth facing financial difficulties in Gyeonggi Province. It provides 1 million KRW for 58 middle school students and 1.5 million KRW for 64 high school students in Dongducheon. Eligible applicants include recipients of basic livelihood security, legally designated lower-income groups, and single-parent families.
The application period is until the 28th of this month. To receive the payment in the first half of the year, applicants must be registered residents in Gyeonggi Province from the application date until March 28, 2025.

Applications can be submitted online or by visiting the administrative welfare center in the applicant’s residential area. The scholarship amount will be deposited in two installments of 50% each into the applicant’s bank account in April and September 2025.
