The Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office will begin accepting applications for the "2026 Special Support Project for Resident Assistance" targeting water source management areas in the Yeongsangang and Seomjingang river basins starting from the 10th. The total support amount is a record-high 6.7 billion won.
This call for applications will prioritize projects that enhance resident welfare, such as expanding water supply facilities, installing recycling separation stations, and remodeling community centers. The application deadline is May 9, and final selections will be made in July after review by a panel of experts.
Kim Youngwoo, head of the Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office, stated, "We will continue to expand support to improve the living environment of residents who have endured regulations for water quality conservation."
