Spaces Arranged by Process, Including Ingredient Receiving and Preprocessing
CJ Freshway announced on the 4th that it has established a large-scale cooking facility in collaboration with Seojin Food, a specialized company in mobile meal services for elderly care facilities. Seojin Food provides semi- and fully-prepared meals in a mobile meal service format to over 150 care facilities in the Seoul metropolitan area. CJ Freshway and Seojin Food plan to enhance the quality of menus and contribute to the creation of a healthy meal culture by building a cooking facility specialized for senior meal services.
Last year, the two companies signed a business agreement and have continued to cooperate in various areas such as food ingredient distribution, hygiene and quality management, and menu development consulting. The cooking facility was established in Siheung City, Gyeonggi Province, where Seojin Food's headquarters is located, covering an area of 661㎡ (approximately 200 pyeong). Inside, spaces are arranged by process, including food ingredient receiving, preprocessing, cooking, sorting, and packaging.
CJ Freshway provides consulting for the entire process from kitchen planning and design to equipment introduction. Additionally, chefs belonging to CJ Freshway will visit regularly to develop various products and recipes together with Seojin Food. Based on differentiated senior-customized menus and recipe capabilities, Seojin Food supplies meals to nursing homes and day and night care centers in the Seoul metropolitan area.
