Gwangju Office of Education Conducts Regular Personnel Appointments for 2,685 Education Officials
Ko Inja Appointed as Policy Bureau Director, Lee Myungsook as Eastern Education Support Office Director

The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced a regular personnel reshuffle involving 2,685 educational public officials on the 5th.
Key appointments include assigning Ko Inja, Director of the Educational Research and Information Institute, as Director of the Policy Bureau at the city education office. Lee Myungsook, a teacher at Seoil Elementary School, was appointed as Director of the Eastern Education Support Office, and Oh Hwasook, Director of the Education Support Bureau at the Western Education Support Office, was named Director of the Educational Research and Information Institute.
Other appointments include Noh Jaechun (Director of the Future Education Planning Division at the city education office) as Director of the Education Support Bureau at the Western Education Support Office, Choi Seonggwang (Supervisory Officer of the Future Education Planning Division) as Director of the Future Education Planning Division at the city education office, Choi Jongcheol (Principal of Seongdeok Middle School) as Director of the Student Marine Training Center, Hyeong Jiyeong (Head of Teacher Training Department at Gwangju Education Training Institute) as Director of Career Guidance at the city education office, and Kim Pilmo (Director of the Student Marine Training Center) as Director of Physical Education, Arts, and Character Education.
The city education office stated that this personnel reshuffle focused on placing individuals with the necessary qualities and abilities to effectively implement the five major educational policies of Gwangju in the field.
In addition, the office will steadily promote key policies for the latter half of the fourth term, such as establishing an AI education center, strengthening reading education, and preventing school violence to create safer schools.
