S-Oil 17-Year Veteran Publishes 'I Am a Corporate Social Worker'
A social worker in charge of social contribution at S-Oil has attracted attention by publishing a book about corporate social contribution activities.
On the 5th, S-Oil announced that Shin Young-cheol, a social worker who joined the company in 2007, recently published a book titled I am a Corporate Social Worker, recording 17 years of vivid experience in social contribution work.
S-Oil expresses the philosophy of sharing and coexistence as one of its core management activities and practices the social contribution program called ‘Haetsal Nanum’ (Sunshine Sharing). Centered on the four guardian campaigns of ‘Heroes, Environment, Local Communities, and Marginalized Neighbors,’ it has continuously developed and implemented new programs such as Citizen Hero Guardians, Natural Monument Guardians, Gas Station Sharing N Campaign, Heating Oil Support for Low-Income Families Hope to You (油) Campaign, sponsorship of the Heart Heart Orchestra for people with developmental disabilities, and support for migrant women victims of domestic violence. In recognition of its social contribution achievements, the company received the Presidential Citation on Firefighters’ Day in 2011 and the Presidential Citation on Social Welfare Day in 2024.
Social worker Shin Young-cheol included his experiences from 17 years of social contribution work in this book. He especially mentioned that, as a social worker, he was able to maintain cooperative relationships with many nonprofit partner organizations by sincerely practicing beneficiary-centered social contribution activities.
