Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Appoints 157 Senior Volunteers to Lead Senior Centers Revitalization
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the '2025 Mapo Senior Volunteer Group Appointment Ceremony' held on the morning of January 21 at the Majung Hall of Mapo Central Library.
The Mapo Senior Volunteer Group is composed of senior citizens who serve as heads of senior centers, promoting elderly welfare policies, guiding the daily lives of senior center users, and inspecting senior center facilities.
On this day, Mayor Park Gang-su personally presented appointment certificates to each of the 157 seniors who will be active as volunteers.
In his remarks, he said, "I sincerely thank the senior center heads who are actively working for the local community," and added, "I hope you will continue to actively work for the welfare and harmony of the elderly." He emphasized, "Mapo District believes that a society where seniors are happy is an advanced society, and we will do our best to ensure that seniors can live comfortably."
