Dongducheon-si and Dongyang University Sign Agreement to Operate Cultural Content Startup Training Program
Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 8th that it signed a consignment agreement for the ‘Cultural Content Startup Training Course’ with Kim Jae-yeol, Chairman of Dongyang University, and Choi Sung-hae, President, on the 7th.

View original imageDongducheon City was selected as a pilot area for the Education Development Special Zone and established the ‘Cultural Content Startup Training Course’ to cultivate talented individuals for future industries and create conditions for them to settle in the region. In 2024, the project was promoted through an agreement between Dongducheon Yangju Office of Education and Dongyang University.
A Dongducheon City official stated, “The ‘Cultural Content Startup Training Course’ successfully completed a total of 227 hours of educational plans with a performance presentation in December 2024,” adding, “In 2025, we plan to operate a more intensive curriculum by expanding the target audience through vacation programs, composing convergence programs with the video sector, and increasing educational hours.”

Meanwhile, the ‘Cultural Content Startup Training Course’ is a project that supports digital media content education such as webtoons, games, and design by linking the local specialized high school, Korea Culture and Video High School, with the regional university, Dongyang University.
