Gyeonggi-do Expands Affordable Businesses from '1,410 to 2,086' Locations
Gyeonggi Province is expanding the number of ‘Good Price Businesses’ from 1,410 to 2,086 to stabilize prices.
Good Price Businesses were introduced in 2011 according to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s ‘Guidelines for Designation and Management of Good Price Businesses.’ These businesses meet certain standards in price, quality, and hygiene in personal service sectors closely related to residents’ daily lives, such as dining, beauty and hairdressing, and laundry, with the aim of stabilizing consumer prices.
Designation is made by the city or county after the business owner applies and is evaluated. Designated businesses receive a plaque and incentives such as consumables to improve customer convenience and hygiene levels.
