View original imageThe Presidential Office announced on the 29th that it will hold an emergency meeting regarding the passenger plane accident that occurred at Muan International Airport in Jeonnam.
Jung Jin-seok, Chief Secretary to the President, is scheduled to preside over an emergency senior secretaries' meeting from 11:30 a.m. to respond to the Muan passenger plane accident.
According to the Fire Agency, a flight from Bangkok, Thailand, veered off the runway and caught fire while landing at Muan Airport that day.
Out of 181 passengers, 28 have been confirmed dead. Two have been rescued and are receiving treatment at a hospital.

The passengers include 173 Koreans and 2 Thais, totaling 175, with the remaining 6 being crew members.
