Former Financial Services Commission Chairman Choi Jong-ku will serve as the 'International Financial Cooperation Ambassador.'
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Acting President and Prime Minister Han Duck-soo appointed former Chairman Choi as the International Financial Cooperation Ambassador on the 27th. Ambassador Choi will support economic diplomacy activities to firmly maintain Korea's external credibility by highlighting the strength of Korea's economic and financial fundamentals.

Ambassador Choi was born in 1957 in Gangneung, graduated from Gangneung High School and Korea University with a degree in Trade. He entered public service as the 25th pass of the Administrative Examination and has served as Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, President of the Korea Eximbank, Director General of International Economic Affairs and Director General of International Finance at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. He is a representative 'authentic financial expert' bureaucrat with extensive experience in domestic and international finance.
