Jangseong County Wins Top Award for Public-Private Cooperation in Dementia Management Project
'Dementia Safety Bridge' Selected as an Excellent Case
Jangseong County in Jeollanam-do received the 'Grand Prize' at the Dementia Management Project Public-Private Cooperation Best Practices Contest hosted by Jeollanam-do Province.
According to the county on the 23rd, the 'Jangseong-style Dementia Safe Bridge,' which established a community-based dementia care safety system through cooperation with 83 related organizations, was selected as an outstanding case.
The 'Jangseong-style Dementia Safe Bridge' consists of 11 linked projects, including a pilot project for lending cognitive enhancement kits for dementia, establishing a public-private cooperation system, and creating a dementia safety network. In addition, the 'On-site Early Dementia Screening' at senior centers and elderly job project sites also received positive evaluations.
County Governor Kim Hanjong said, "Our focus on creating a dementia-friendly environment and strengthening the community's care capacity has led to this positive outcome," and added, "We will do our best to make Jangseong County a happy place without worries about dementia."
