Kakao Introduces Public Contribution Cases and Tech Ethics at UN Forum
Kakao announced on the 19th that it attended the United Nations' 'Internet Governance Forum (IGF)' held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The forum is held annually to promote cooperation among global stakeholders on internet and digital issues and to strengthen policy coordination. This year, it was held under the theme "Designing a Digital Future with Multi-Stakeholders."
Kakao participated in the session on "Utilizing AI for Human Rights Protection" the day before. Kakao introduced ▲ efforts of a native platform for public innovation ▲ implementation of technology ethics at the group level ▲ activities to enhance digital safety.
As part of efforts for public innovation, Kakao highlighted cases of providing public information through KakaoTalk and emphasized that the native platform has actively worked for the safety and convenience of the public. It also explained efforts to create and inspect safe and trustworthy technology. Kakao stated that it is also practicing activities to enhance digital safety.
