Simplified Certification Process for Introducing Dolby Vision with Samsung OLED
Samsung Display is strengthening its leadership in the organic light-emitting diode (OLED) market for vehicle displays by collaborating with immersive entertainment experience company Dolby Laboratories. This partnership is expected to enhance synergy by simplifying evaluation and certification processes.

On the 16th (local time), Samsung Display announced on the 19th that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to jointly promote Dolby's premium high dynamic range (HDR) video technology, 'Dolby Vision,' and vehicle-optimized OLED displays.
Samsung Display explained that through this agreement, when automobile manufacturers adopt Samsung OLEDs and implement Dolby Vision, the evaluation and certification process will be simplified, significantly shortening the evaluation period.
Choi Yong-seok, Executive Director of Sales at Samsung Display, said, "Through this collaboration, Samsung will solidify its technological leadership in the vehicle display market. We will set new standards for vehicle display image quality and provide the best driving experience for drivers and passengers."
Andre Eret, Senior Director of the Automotive Business Division at Dolby Laboratories, stated, "We are very pleased that Dolby Vision, which delivers vivid images, combined with Samsung Display’s industry-leading OLED technology, can provide more customers with an immersive in-vehicle entertainment experience."
