Jangseong-gun Awarded 'Best Institution' in Waterworks Project Evaluation by Ministry of Environment
High Scores in Aging Pipeline Improvement and Water Quality Standard Management
Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, was selected as the best institution in the Ministry of Environment's '2024 General Waterworks Project Operation and Management Performance Evaluation.'
According to the county on the 16th, the Ministry of Environment conducts annual inspections and evaluations of the operation and management status of general waterworks projects to establish a competitive water supply system and improve operational management efficiency, and announces the results.
The county received high scores for upgrading aging pipelines, managing water quality standards, and implementing government policies.
The county is also building a 'Smart Water Network Management Infrastructure' to prevent and respond to various water supply accidents, while promoting local waterworks modernization projects such as renovating aging water treatment plants and replacing old water supply pipes to provide clean tap water.
