Warning on Driver App... Safety Check at Garage
“A warning message will appear for the driver, and battery safety will be assessed at the garage entrance!”
A system to prevent fires in electric taxi batteries will be established for the first time among corporate taxis nationwide at Busan Corporate Taxi.
PMGrow (CEO Jae-Hong Park) and the Busan Taxi Transportation Business Association (Chairman Sung-Ho Jang) announced on the 12th that they signed a business agreement to build a proactive response system to prevent electric taxi battery fires.
Under this agreement, PMGrow will provide WattSafe to electric taxis operated by each transportation company under the Busan Taxi Association. Additionally, they plan to establish the SafePass system to enhance safety at office buildings and company parking areas.
‘WattSafe’ is a safety management application service that uses a data collection terminal installed in electric vehicles to analyze and manage battery status in real time.
By applying AI technology to the data collected from the battery, if abnormal signs are detected, a warning is sent to the driver to prevent accidents.
The driver can take action according to guidance from the PMGrow call center or move to a nearby repair shop. It is known that this entire process is completed within a maximum of one hour.

‘SafePass’ is a system that inspects the safety status of vehicles entering buildings in real time. It provides an integrated management service that determines safety ratings by linking with the data server for vehicles subscribed to WattSafe and guides parking lot access and charging status.
PMGrow has already signed agreements to apply such systems with public institutions like the Seoul Business Agency (SBA) and Korea’s leading information security company SK Shieldus.
The agreement signed between PMGrow and the Busan Taxi Association also reflects the intention to redefine safety standards for electric taxi passengers and the electric vehicle market.
PMGrow explained that they are focusing on proactively responding to electric vehicle fire safety issues and turning technological possibilities into reality to enhance the value of safe and eco-friendly electric vehicles.
They also anticipate that because this adds safety to public transportation convenience, the movement to establish such systems will rapidly spread to other regions.
PMGrow CEO Jae-Hong Park emphasized, “Based on battery manufacturing technology and experience, we will apply a real-time monitoring system for battery abnormal signs to ensure the safety of taxi passengers.”
Busan Taxi Association Chairman Sung-Ho Jang welcomed the collaboration, saying, “We have alleviated concerns about electric taxi fires by cooperating with PMGrow, a battery specialist company.”
