Gyeonggi-do Publishes 'Library Series and Librarian Reviews'... Distributed to 480 Libraries
Gyeonggi Province has published two volumes of the "Gyeonggi-do Library Series" and one volume of the "2024 Gyeonggi-do Librarians' Book Review Collection," which includes book reviews and recommended book lists, to promote library development and improve services.
The Gyeonggi-do Library Series is a practical guide that can be used in library operations. Since 2008, Gyeonggi Province has selected two major issues or exemplary operational cases each year as themes, and this year published volumes 33 and 34.
The Gyeonggi-do Librarians' Book Review Collection, titled "Librarians' Book Stories, 2024," is the 16th compilation of book reviews by the "Gyeonggi-do Librarians' Book Review Group," consisting of 55 librarians from public libraries in cities and counties across Gyeonggi Province. Among the 331 reviews written this year, 170 were selected and included.
Park Min-kyung, Director of the Library Policy Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We hope that the newly published series and book review collection will provide practical guidance and ideas in library settings, thereby improving the quality of library services and helping residents discover good books."
