Seosan City Council Chairman Cho Dongsik Receives 'Outstanding Legislative Activity Award' from Jaegyeong Hyangwoohoe
On the 3rd, Jo Dongsik, Chairman of the Seosan City Council in Chungnam, received the 'Outstanding Legislative Activity Award' at the 51st Regular General Meeting of the Jaegyeong Seosan City Alumni Association, held in the Grand Ballroom on the 3rd floor of the Air Force Hotel in Seoul.
Chairman Jo was recognized for his outstanding legislative activities that contributed to the development of Seosan City and the improvement of the quality of life for its citizens.
Starting his legislative career as a member of the 8th Seosan City Council, Chairman Jo has actively and proactively worked to enhance the welfare of the citizens.
In particular, as the chairman of the General Affairs Committee in the latter half of the 8th Seosan City Council, he took the lead in addressing welfare blind spots in the community by proposing ordinances such as the operation and support ordinance for communal living homes for the elderly living alone in Seosan and the ordinance to promote the welfare of people with disabilities in Seosan.
Additionally, by proposing the ordinance on the establishment and operation of priority parking zones for national merit recipients in Seosan, he has led efforts to enhance overall respect for national merit recipients and the development of veterans' organizations. He also proposed a partial amendment to the ordinance on the Seosan City Citizen Award, providing the basis for gestures such as attaching nameplates to the homes of award recipients.
Furthermore, after being elected Chairman of the latter half of the 9th Seosan City Council, he has worked for the development of the local community by listening to and resolving various civil complaints, and has faithfully fulfilled his role in providing reasonable checks and oversight of the executive branch, thereby contributing to the operation of the Seosan City Council.
Jo Dongsik stated, "I am delighted to receive this award from the Jaegyeong Seosan City Alumni Association, which shows great interest in our hometown," and added, "I will take this as encouragement to work even harder for the development of Seosan City and its citizens, and will continue to engage in legislative activities that listen and communicate more closely."
