Gwangju-si Buk-gu announced on the 2nd that it has been selected as an excellent local government for two consecutive years in the '2024 Child Policy Impact Assessment' hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The Child Policy Impact Assessment is a system that evaluates the positive and negative effects of various laws, plans, and projects of local governments on children's rights and quality of life.
The 'Child-Friendly Specialized Village' project promoted by the district was evaluated for establishing an institutional foundation where children can freely express their opinions, thereby enhancing children's participation rights. The operation of the K-pop youth talent development program was also cited as an excellent case.
