Paju-si Launches Full-Scale Implementation of GTX-Centered Bus Route Reorganization Plan
Priority Operation of 3 Newly Established Routes Starting December 1
Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 25th that it will gradually implement a bus route reorganization centered on the Seoul Metropolitan Area Express Train (GTX) starting from the 1st of next month.
According to the reorganization plan, the arrival time to GTX Unjeongjungang Station has been significantly shortened. △Unjeong area will have a dispatch interval of 10 minutes and arrival within 15 minutes △Geumchon area will have a dispatch interval of 15 minutes and arrival within 30 minutes △Other areas will have a dispatch interval of 40 minutes and arrival within 60 minutes.
First, three new routes will be established from December 1st, and all will operate as temporary routes until the opening of Simhaksan-ro.
The 070A/B routes circulating Unjeong New Town will each deploy six buses clockwise and counterclockwise from Unjeong Station on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line. During peak hours, buses will run every 10 minutes, with the first bus at 5 a.m. and the last bus operating until midnight.
However, until Simhaksan-ro opens, a temporary route starting from Chorongkkot Village will operate. This temporary route departs from Chorongkkot Village, circulates the new town, and returns at Hanulmaeul 1st Complex. Once Simhaksan-ro opens, the route will operate as originally planned, starting from Unjeong Station.
Route 072 departs from Geumchon Station, passes through Paju Hospital and Geumneung Station, and connects to GTX Unjeongjungang Station. A total of six buses will be deployed, running every 15 minutes during peak hours. The first bus departs at 5:10 a.m., and the last bus at 11:50 p.m. Until Simhaksan-ro opens, the terminus will be Hanulmaeul 1st Complex.
Route 80 connects Unjeong New Town and Daehwa Station, quickly passing through major areas such as Chorongkkot Village and Haesol Village to GTX Unjeongjungang Station. Seven buses operate on this route, running every 20 minutes during peak hours. The first bus departs at 5 a.m., and the last bus at 11 p.m. from Gyoha Garage. Until Simhaksan-ro opens, the starting point will change from Gyoha Garage to Sannae Village Central Shopping Area.
In addition to the newly established routes, seven routes connecting to GTX Unjeongjungang Station will change their routes and operate in December when Simhaksan-ro opens.
