Amid the ongoing management dispute within the Hanmi Pharm Group, the Hanmi Pharm brothers have filed a complaint against their mother, Chairwoman Song Young-sook, and Hanmi Pharm CEO Park Jae-hyun on charges of breach of trust.
According to the Seoul Gangnam Police Station on the 15th, Han Sung-joon, CEO of Cori Group, filed a complaint on the 13th against Chairwoman Song and CEO Park for violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes (breach of trust). Cori Group is a company where Lim Jong-yoon, an inside director of Hanmi Science, is the largest shareholder.
CEO Han reportedly raised concerns about CEO Park making donations totaling 11.9 billion KRW to the Gahyeon Cultural Foundation, established in 2022, without the approval or resolution of the board of directors. CEO Park donated 4.2 billion KRW in 2022, 6 billion KRW in 2023, and 1.7 billion KRW in the first half of this year to the Gahyeon Cultural Foundation.
Hanmi Pharm has declared independent management from Hanmi Science and is pursuing autonomous management centered on professional manager CEO Park.
