Namyangju City Conducts On-site Safety Training for Platform Workers
Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) conducted a "Visiting Safety Education" program on the 13th and 14th at the Geumgok-dong Social Economy Support Center, targeting a total of 50 people, including 25 designated drivers and 25 delivery workers.

Lee Bong-gyu, Director of the Job Policy Division, stated, "Since many platform workers are non-regular employees, regular safety education is especially important," and added, "Namyangju City will continue to strengthen safety education and promote a safety culture, as well as work to improve workers' human rights and working conditions."
Meanwhile, the city operates two simple rest areas for mobile workers who have irregular break times and spaces, located at Hwado and Sudong Administrative Welfare Centers and the Pyeongnae 2nd Public Parking Lot Sports Facility (660 Pyeongnae-dong).

The rest areas are equipped with △air conditioners and heaters △hot and cold water dispensers △hot packs △neck warmers, providing convenience items needed in summer and winter, and are open 24 hours a day, year-round, allowing night shift workers to use them conveniently.
