Achieved Funding of Approximately 450 Million KRW for Performance Budget
Gyeonggi Uijeongbu Cultural Foundation (CEO Park Hee-seong) announced on the 13th that it has secured a total of 448 million KRW in performance project funds for five works, including the musical 'Saeui Chanmi,' through the 2025 'Performing Arts Regional Distribution Support Project' sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Arts Management Support Center.
The 2025 'Performing Arts Regional Distribution Support Project' aims to resolve the imbalance of the performance market concentrated in Seoul and to promote the enjoyment of various genres of pure arts in local regions.
The five works selected for the 'Performing Arts Regional Distribution Support' this time include excellent large-scale works across diverse genres: in the large musical category, Neo Co., Ltd.'s 'Saeui Chanmi'; in dance, Seoul Ballet Theater's 'The Nutcracker'; in music, Global Opera Company's 'La Traviata'; in traditional arts, Akdan Gwangchil's fusion gugak 'Akdan Gwangchil Concert Maeu Chwora!'; and in theater, Theater Company Mulgyul's 'Dondeboi: The Travelers of the Singers.' These selections are expected to enrich the planned performances of the Uijeongbu Cultural Foundation in 2025.
