This survey is conducted to collect basic information on all households and housing in South Korea, and has been carried out every five years since 2014 through cooperation between Statistics Korea and local governments.
The survey items include 14 categories such as address, construction period, and vacancy status. All residences and approximately 3.7 million households in the province are subject to the survey, excluding apartments built between 5 and less than 30 years ago.
About 1,400 personnel will be deployed for the survey. Professional surveyors wearing identification badges will visit the target housing sites for verification, and some households will be interviewed. Surveys will also be conducted via the call center (080-2024-2024).
According to Article 33 of the Statistics Act, the survey information will be strictly confidential, and the results will be used as basic data for the 2025 Population and Housing Census in November and the 2025 Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Census in December.
