Busan National University (President Choi Jae-won) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korea Transport Institute (President Kim Young-chan) on the 1st at the university headquarters to develop innovative solutions in the transportation sector and establish an industry-academia-research cooperation network.
Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to jointly address regional transportation issues and collaborate on nurturing field-oriented talent by ▲conducting research cooperation and joint studies on AI-based transportation logistics operations and planning, future mobility, and climate change response ▲sharing educational and research resources such as data and systems ▲operating field training programs for undergraduate and graduate students.
The two institutions will jointly conduct research on AI and big data-based transportation operations and planning, urban and transportation infrastructure academic studies, and the promotion and analysis of new transportation mode demonstration projects.

Additionally, they will build a continuous industry-academia-research cooperation network by providing opportunities for Busan National University undergraduate and graduate students to work as short-term researchers at the Korea Transport Institute and participate in online supporter programs, among other personnel exchanges.
