Geumcheon-gu and Coway Join Forces for Anyangcheon Plogging
October 19: Coway Employees and Families, Geumcheon-gu Volunteer Families Participate in Trash Collection Activity (Plogging) Around Anyangcheon
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that on October 19th at 10 a.m., it held a trash picking (plogging) event for the environmental cleanup of Anyangcheon Stream in collaboration with Coway.
This activity was conducted as a family participation event with 20 Coway employees and their families and 40 families of district volunteers.
Participants walked 1.8 km along Anyangcheon Road from the Multipurpose Square to Geumcheon Hangyo Bridge, picking up trash around Anyangcheon Stream. Group activities were carried out using trash picking tools (plogging kits) provided one per person.
Collected trash could be exchanged for snack and beverage coupons from a food truck prepared by Coway.
A participant who joined with their child said, “I was able to enjoy a unique environmental cleanup activity at Anyangcheon and create meaningful memories with my child,” adding, “It was enjoyable to spend meaningful time with my family amid busy daily life.”
